Na passada semana e a convite da Zomato, fui conhecer um dos mais recentes espaços do Porto, o Subenshi. Apesar de ser novidade pela cidade, o nome não deve ser completamente estranho, já que o primeiro espaço abriu em Aveiro.

Este novo espaço situa-se numa zona nobre da cidade, ao lado do edifício da Reitoria da Universidade do Porto e com os Clérigos ali a dois passos. O restaurante ocupa todo aquele prédio, que foi recuperado, dando um toque de modernidade sem perder os traços de outrora, com azulejos e os tetos que nos deixam absolutamente maravilhados. Aliás, foi assim mesmo que a visita começou, com uma visita guiada acompanhada de um gin , por entre os vários pisos que acabam por "separar" um pouco os vários conceitos que podemos encontrar no restaurante. Desde grelhados e um conceito mais de tasca japonesa com tapas no primeiro piso, até ao último com sushi e uma vista privilegiada a acompanhar.

Para finalizar, não faltaram as sobremesas e difícil escolher quais as favoritas. Entre Parfait Teriyaki Subenshi, um semifrio de nata com aroma teriyaki até aos gelados de ovos moles, avelã, chocolate e pistachio, é difícil mesmo escolher qual o melhor. Nota que vale a pena reter: o gelado de ovos moles não contém lactose assim como os sorvetes artesanais. Todo o jantar acompanhado ainda pelos fantásticos cocktails preparados pela equipa. Toda esta experiência deixou-me com vontade de lá voltar e experimentar outros pratos e até quem sabe repetir alguns.
